"The value of water – education for a sustainable development"

Special edition 2023

On October 12, 2023, 2:00 p.m. German time, 3.00 p.m. Israeli time, experts from Israel and Germany will speak about the value of water and how skills for a responsible use of drinking water can be promoted in the sense of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).

The event takes place as part of the webinar series “Planetary Boundaries – How Israel and Germany take on Climate Change”. The LZU started the series in 2022 in cooperation with the Consulate General of the State of Israel in Munich. This year's webinar on the subject of water is supported by the Energy- and Water Association - Hesse/Rhineland-Palatinate (LDEW) as a further partner.

The webinar is primarily aimed at local water suppliers as well as interested multipliers and experts from municipalities and/or environmental education/ESD in Rhineland-Palatinate. The innovative measures and educational approaches in Israel as well as best practice examples in Rhineland-Palatinate could offer new ideas and impulses for ESD offers and environmental education activities.  The seminar is also open to interested people in Germany and Israel.
